medtour.ist is a medical tourism coordination and patient guidance service operated by Mustafa Güner.

medtour.ist helps international users understand treatment options, communicate with healthcare providers, and coordinate the practical parts of a medical journey. medtour.ist does not itself provide medical treatment.

Information I may collect

Depending on how you contact me, I may receive:

• your name and contact details;
• country or location information you choose to provide;
• the treatment or service you are interested in;
• messages and other communications you send;
• health-related information, photographs, or documents that you voluntarily provide for a preliminary review;
• basic technical or cookie information generated through the website.

How I use information

I may use information to:

• respond to inquiries;
• provide patient guidance and coordination support;
• help arrange a preliminary review with an appropriate healthcare provider;
• coordinate treatment-related communication and practical arrangements;
• maintain records of communications and requests;
• operate and protect the website;
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

Health information and preliminary review

Health-related information, photographs, and medical documents may be shared with an appropriate healthcare professional or provider when this is necessary for the review requested by the user.

A remote review is preliminary. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an in-person examination. The relevant licensed healthcare professional or provider determines final treatment suitability, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

Service providers and data handling

The current workflow may involve:

• Hostinger for website hosting; Tally (Tally BV, Belgium) for the online preliminary review form;
• the medtour.ist email account for email communication;
• WhatsApp Business / Meta for messaging;
• Notion for internal organization and record keeping;
• Google Analytics 4 (Google) for website usage statistics; analytics cookies are set only with your consent (see Cookie Policy);
• relevant healthcare providers when a preliminary review or treatment coordination is requested.

Information may also be shared with accommodation, transport, or other practical service providers when necessary for a request.

Some service providers may process information in countries other than Türkiye or the user’s country. Where the law requires it, such transfers rely on the safeguards offered by these providers.

Legal basis

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, contact details and messages are processed to respond to your request and to take steps at your request before any arrangement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and to operate and protect the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Health information, photographs, and medical documents are processed only with your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you give when you choose to send them. Under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), health data is processed on the basis of your explicit consent. Website statistics are collected only with your consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time.

Data retention

Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, ongoing communication, coordination, record keeping, and applicable legal obligations. Records that are no longer reasonably required may be deleted or anonymized where appropriate.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent.

Privacy requests may be sent to info@medtour.ist. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority or with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).

Children

Users under 18 should have a parent or legal guardian contact medtour.ist before providing health information, photographs, or medical documents.

Automated decisions

I do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, including profiling.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated when services, systems, or legal requirements change.
